Despite FHFA Prohibitions, PACE Loan Programs Continue to Expand

Almost a year since the Ninth Circuit upheld the Federal Housing Finance Agency’s (FHFA) decision to cease purchasing mortgages on properties encumbered by a Property Assessed Clean Energy loan (PACE loan), states and local municipalities continue to enact and expand PACE lending schemes in their jurisdictions.  Recently, Wayne County, Michigan joined the Lean & Green Michigan State-wide PACE program, which will allow property owners in the Detroit metro area to obtain loans as much as $250,000 to build energy improvements on their property.  Read More ›
